ENTITLED An Act to make an appropriation for the revised construction costs of the bioproducts facility in Brookings, and to declare an emergency.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That section 1 of chapter 244 of the 2021 Session Laws be AMENDED:

There is hereby appropriated from the general fund the sum of $23,000,000 to the Board of Regents, for the purpose of providing grant funding for the design, construction, and furnishing of a new bioproducts facility at the research park in Brookings.

Section 2. Whereas, this Act is necessary for the support of the state government and its existing public institutions, an emergency is declared to exist, and this Act is in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
