A LEGISLATIVE COMMEMORATION, Commending and honoring Eric Stroeder, a member of the Mobridge-Pollock School District Board of Education, on his selection as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board Member of South Dakota for 2021.
WHEREAS, Eric is engaged in his community, has invested significant time in his local school district, is understanding of the challenges in educating young people, and has applied his vision to enhance his school community; and
WHEREAS, Eric has always been a strong supporter of students and staff in the district, as well as a great advocate for public education through his commitment and passion, including service on the blue ribbon task force and school finance accountability board; and
WHEREAS, Eric has been a dedicated servant to public education at the local level and has served eleven years on the Mobridge-Pollock School Board, including five years as president, and at the state level, having served two terms as president in his nine years on the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Board of Directors:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT COMMEMORATED, by the Ninety-Seventh Legislature of the State of South Dakota, that Eric Stroeder be honored and commended for being selected as the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Outstanding School Board Member of South Dakota for 2021 and is designated as an official representative of the state and urged to continue in his efforts to seek improvement of the educational opportunities for the K-12 students of the state.
