She holds a Bachelor of Music and Music Education from Georgia State University, a Master of Education from Southern Wesleyan University, and has achieved national board certification in early/middle childhood music. Her professional goal is to inspire students to become proud citizens by integrating music with patriotic education.

In addition to her teaching role, Mrs. Curry has directed the South Carolina History Program at her school and organized the Veterans Day program, showcasing her commitment to both education and community service. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including the Spartanburg County Veteran's Affairs Challenge Coin and a Presidential Citation from President Donald Trump. The resolution expresses the Senate's appreciation for her dedication, character, and the positive impact she has had on her students and the state of South Carolina.
