The South Carolina Senate has adopted a resolution to recognize and honor the Lancaster High School boys varsity basketball team, along with their coaches and school officials, for their remarkable achievement in winning the 2025 South Carolina Class AAAA State Championship title. The team secured their victory against North Augusta High School with a score of 69-55, marking the program's first state championship in seventy-five years and concluding the season with an impressive 27-1 record, including a 22-game winning streak.

The resolution highlights the contributions of standout players, including senior Jordan Watford and junior Columbus Parker, who both scored 19 points in the championship game. It also acknowledges the leadership of Head Coach Jerron Cauthen and the coaching staff in developing a successful team. The Senate expresses pride in the recognition the team has brought to their school and community and looks forward to their future accomplishments. A copy of the resolution will be presented to Principal Rosalyn Mood and Coach Cauthen.
