The bill, H. 4212, is a concurrent resolution recognizing and honoring the culinary team from the Anderson District One and District Two Career and Technology Center (ACTC) for their achievement in winning the 21st Annual South Carolina ProStart Invitational Culinary Competition. The ProStart program, which is supported by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation, provides high school students with hands-on experience in culinary arts and restaurant management, preparing them for careers in the hospitality industry. The ACTC team, consisting of seniors Elizabeth Page and Ben Graham, junior Jacob Williamson, and junior Kolbie Stephens, demonstrated exceptional skills by preparing a three-course meal under challenging conditions, ultimately earning the opportunity to represent South Carolina at the National ProStart Student Invitational in Baltimore, Maryland.

The resolution highlights the team's impressive track record, noting that this victory marks the eighth consecutive win for ACTC culinary teams and their twelfth win in the last thirteen competitions. The team has consistently performed well at the national level, placing in the top five since 2015. The resolution expresses appreciation for the pride and recognition the ACTC culinary team has brought to their school and community, and it concludes with a commitment to follow their future achievements. A copy of the resolution will be presented to their instructor, Chris Moree.
