The South Carolina Senate has introduced a resolution to recognize and honor SkillsUSA for its significant contributions to developing a skilled workforce in America. SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit educational association that supports students in middle and high schools, as well as post-secondary institutions, by preparing them for careers in various trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. The organization serves over 300,000 students and instructors annually and has a cumulative membership of over 13 million since its inception in 1965. It is acknowledged by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Labor as a successful model for employer-driven workforce development.

The resolution also declares February 2-8, 2025, as "SkillsUSA Week" in South Carolina, a time for members to raise awareness about the organization and promote its programs and activities at local and state levels. The South Carolina Senate encourages all residents to learn more about SkillsUSA and its vital role in preparing a skilled workforce for the future.
