AN ACT TO DELAY THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF ACT 56 OF 2023, REGARDING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONAL PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT AND THE JUDICIAL PERSONAL PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT FROM JULY 1, 2024, UNTIL JULY 1, 2025.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Act 56 of 2023 delayed effective date

SECTION 1.    The effective date of Act No. 56 of 2023, which enacted the "Law Enforcement and Personal Privacy Protection Act" and the "Judicial Privacy Protection Act", is delayed from July 1, 2024, until July 1, 2025.

Time effective

SECTION 2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 27th day of June, 2024.

Approved the 2nd day of July, 2024.
