The bill amends Section 45-24-33 of the General Laws regarding zoning ordinances, introducing new provisions that require municipalities to adjust their zoning regulations. Specifically, it mandates that any lot with access to public water and sewer services shall not establish or enforce a minimum lot area that exceeds five thousand square feet (5,000 ft²) for residential buildings containing between one and four dwelling units.
