The bill amends Section 42-128-8.1 of the Rhode Island Housing Resources Act to allow the town of Tiverton to receive a one-half (1/2) credit for affordable housing units for manufactured homes located in age-restricted communities. These manufactured homes must comply with local zoning laws and ordinances, and residents must be fifty-five (55) years or older. The manufactured homes must also be approved according to the town's specific requirements for zoning, land development, and subdivision ordinances, and they must be licensed annually by the town. The act will take effect upon passage.
