This bill amends the existing law regarding the financial meeting of the regional school district that includes the towns of Foster and Glocester. The date of the financial meeting is changed from March 24, 1998, to March 24, 2026, and the time is adjusted from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Additionally, starting in 2027, the financial town meeting preceding the regional school district financial meeting will be held annually on the third Tuesday in March. The bill clarifies that all qualified voters from the towns of Foster and Glocester who attend the financial town meeting preceding the regional meeting will be eligible to vote. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
