The bill amends Section 42-128-8.1 of the Rhode Island Housing Resources Act to include specific provisions for the town of Johnston. It allows manufactured homes located in age-restricted communities, where residents must be fifty-five (55) years or older, to be credited as one-half (1/2) of an affordable housing unit. This credit is contingent upon the manufactured homes conforming to the town's zoning, land development, and subdivision ordinances, and being licensed annually by the town. The act will take effect upon passage.
