Additionally, the bill establishes the Psychiatry Resource Network (PRN) programs, which include the PediPRN and MomsPRN, aimed at expanding Rhode Island's behavioral health and substance use capacity by providing workforce development and psychiatric consultation to primary and specialty care providers. The PRN program will be exempt from indirect cost recovery provisions, ensuring that funds are utilized effectively for mental healthcare services.

The act will take effect upon passage.
