The bill amends Chapter 31-20 of the General Laws by adding a new section, 31-20-18, which requires the Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Traffic Safety Commission, to erect and maintain adequate signs on all state highways that require operators of motor vehicles to come to a complete stop at intersections with bike paths, as defined in section 31-1-23. This act is set to take effect upon passage.
