This bill permits the Quonset Development Corporation to acquire, own, maintain, and control all lighting equipment, including streetlights, located within the Quonset Business Park. It adds a new section (39-30-6) to Chapter 39-30 of the General Laws, allowing the Quonset Development Corporation to have the same rights as municipalities to acquire lighting equipment from electric distribution companies or municipalities, provided they compensate them as required under 39-30-3(b).
