The bill amends Section 31-10-19 of the General Laws regarding driver education and traffic safety education in Rhode Island. It introduces an exemption from tuition or enrollment fees for eligible individuals receiving foster care in foster and adoptive homes, as defined in 42-72.1-2, upon a request and payment of the fee from the Department of Children, Youth, and Families. The bill maintains the requirement for a tuition or enrollment fee to be paid by other eligible applicants.

The act is set to take effect upon passage.
