The resolution celebrates the remarkable achievement of the East Greenwich/Toll Gate Boys Ice Hockey team, which, in only its second year as a combined team, finished the season with an impressive 22-2 record and secured the State Championship. The team entered the 2024-2025 Rhode Island Interscholastic League Division II Boys Ice Hockey Tournament as the top seed, showcasing their dominance throughout the regular season. They advanced through the playoffs with decisive victories, including a shutout against Cumberland in the semi-finals, ultimately winning the championship in a thrilling overtime match against their archrival Portsmouth, highlighted by a game-winning goal from Jack Kiernan.

The resolution acknowledges the collective effort and dedication of the players, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and selflessness in achieving such a significant milestone. It recognizes the contributions of all team members and the leadership of Head Coach Jeff Giusti and Assistant Coach Max Hagenburg.
