The House Resolution honors James R. Hoyt for his 50-year career at the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, where he began as a part-time physical education staff member in 1976 and rose to the position of CEO in 2004. During his tenure, Mr. Hoyt significantly expanded the Club's programs, resulting in increased attendance and successfully leading an $8 million capital campaign for facility expansion. He is also preparing for the Club's 125th Anniversary celebration in 2025.
In addition to his work at the Boys & Girls Club, Mr. Hoyt has been actively involved in the community, serving on various boards and committees, including the Pawtucket Riverfront Commission and the Pawtucket Lions Club. His dedication has earned him numerous accolades, including the BGCA Professional of the Year for the Northeast region and induction into the Pawtucket Hall of Fame in 2022.
