The Senate of the State of Rhode Island expresses its profound sorrow over the passing of Edmée Parisi, a resident of Johnston. Edmée was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Parisi, and her son, Thomas Parisi, along with her sister, Lorraine Champagne. Raised in the Bronx, New York, she graduated from Hunter College and married Anthony in 1954. The couple raised their six children in various locations before settling in Simsbury, Connecticut. Following Anthony's death in 1968, Edmée worked diligently to support her family as a travel agent, church secretary, and police department clerk until her retirement in 2010.

Edmée Parisi is remembered for her deep faith, love for classical music, gardening, and spending time with her family and beloved cat. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In light of her contributions and the impact she had on her family and community, the Senate extends its heartfelt condolences to the Parisi family and directs the Secretary of State to provide a certified copy of this resolution to them.
