The bill amends Chapter 31-3 of the General Laws regarding the registration of vehicles by introducing a new section, 31-3-61.1, which establishes a special registration plate for Frank M. Brown, Jr., the former fire chief of the Hopkins Hill Fire District. The administrator of the division of motor vehicles is authorized and directed to issue this special registration plate for Mr. Brown's private passenger motor vehicle. The plate will bear the designation "Fire Chief Emeritus" along with a unique identification number. It will be furnished without any additional registration charge for as long as Mr. Brown desires. The act is set to take effect immediately upon its passage.
