The Rhode Island House of Representatives has introduced a resolution to celebrate the 4th Annual "RI Craft Beer Week," which will take place from March 7th to March 16th. This event highlights the significant growth of the craft beer industry in the state, which has expanded from five breweries a decade ago to fifty today, offering over 150 unique selections. The craft brewing sector has become a vital part of Rhode Island's economy, contributing approximately $876 million annually in wages and benefits and supporting over 7,161 jobs. Additionally, breweries are revitalizing local communities and commercial districts, enhancing the state's economic landscape.

This year's Craft Beer Week features the theme "We've got you covered from head to toe," with various promotional merchandise and events planned, including the launch of a new collaborative beer and activities such as live music, Bingo, and a comedy show. The resolution expresses the House's support for the craft beer industry and its positive impact on the state's economy and community revitalization efforts. It concludes with a call for continued growth and prosperity in the craft brewing sector and directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Executive Director of the RI Brewers Guild.
