It emphasizes the economic contributions of these small businesses, which generate $876 million annually in wages and benefits and support over 7,161 jobs. Additionally, the craft brewing industry revitalizes local communities by transforming commercial districts and abandoned mills, while also contributing to the sale of food and merchandise through brewpubs and brewery tours.

In recognition of these achievements, the resolution proclaims the 4th annual "RI Craft Beer Week," which features various festivities, including the launch of a new collaborative beer and themed events such as live music and community nights. The House of Representatives expresses its support for the craft brewing industry and hopes for its continued growth and success, directing the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Executive Director of the RI Brewers Guild.
