The bill amends Chapter 36-8 of the General Laws regarding the administration of the retirement system by introducing a new section, 36-8-22, which mandates the online distribution of audio and video recordings of meetings held by the retirement board. Specifically, it requires the retirement board to provide the online distribution of any archived video or audio recordings of meetings to be displayed on the employees' retirement system website, as well as all recordings of meetings occurring on or after the enactment of this section. Additionally, the provisions apply to any subsidiary board to the retirement board that specializes in state investments. This act is set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
