The bill amends Chapter 39-15 of the General Laws by adding a new section titled "39-15-13. Maintenance, operation and delivery of water services." This new provision mandates that any water supplier, as defined in 39-15.1-2, is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and delivery of water to the lot line of each individual parcel of land within a residential subdivision. It specifies that water suppliers must cover all costs associated with any pumping stations that are not located within the residential subdivision, as well as those delivering water to schools that are not situated on school property. Additionally, the bill clarifies that condominiums or multi-family parcels do not constitute a residential subdivision for the purposes of this section. The act will take effect immediately upon its passage.
