The bill amends Chapter 39-15 of the General Laws by adding a new section titled "39-15-13. Maintenance, operation and delivery of water services." It establishes that any water supplier, as defined in section 39-15.1-2, shall be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and delivery of water to the lot line of each individual parcel of land within a residential subdivision. This responsibility includes covering all costs associated with any pumping station not contained within the residential subdivision, as well as for any pumping station not located on school property that delivers water to a school. The bill specifies that condominiums or multi-family parcels of land do not constitute a residential subdivision. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
