This bill introduces a new section titled "Single site parity" across various chapters of the General Laws related to health insurance. It mandates that any health insurance contract, plan, or policy delivered or issued for delivery or renewed in the state must provide equal reimbursement to independent healthcare facilities as that provided to hospital-affiliated facilities for identical healthcare services. This requirement is subject to the provisions of applicable federal law. Furthermore, the health insurance commissioner is authorized to promulgate any rules and regulations deemed necessary for the efficient administration and enforcement of this section. The provisions of this act are set to take effect on January 1, 2026.
