The bill amends Section 5-39.1-8 of the General Laws concerning the licensing procedure for social workers. It extends the deadline for applicants to complete an examination to qualify for a licensed clinical social worker position from August 15, 2025, to August 15, 2030. Additionally, it repeals the examination requirement for licensure as a clinical social worker until that new deadline. The act will take effect upon passage.
