The bill amends Section 22-6-15 of the General Laws to include annual appropriations necessary for the provisions of Sections 22-6-10, 22-6-14, and the newly added Section 22-6-16. The new section, 22-6-16, mandates that any nonprofit entity, as a condition for requesting state grants or funding from the General Assembly, must submit to the General Assembly and post on their website a complete and detailed list of the ten highest paid directors, officers, and employees, including their salaries, costs, benefits (such as health insurance and rental cars), and any forms of compensation provided to those individuals. Additionally, nonprofits are required to disclose other sources of funding, including fundraising, endowments, trusts, memorial giving, and any activities that fund the nonprofit entity. This act will take effect upon passage.
