The bill amends Chapter 39-15 of the General Laws by adding a new section titled "Maintenance, operation and delivery of water services." It establishes that any water supplier, as defined in section 39-15.1-2, is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and delivery of water to the lot line of each individual parcel of land within a residential subdivision. This responsibility includes covering all costs associated with any pumping stations that are not located within the subdivision, as well as those delivering water to schools that are not situated on school property. The bill also specifies that condominiums or multi-family parcels do not constitute a residential subdivision. The act will take effect immediately upon passage.
