Born in Providence, he was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Potts had a diverse and successful career, including a 25-year tenure at Sysco, restaurant management, and owning Chipman's Corner Deli. In addition to his wife, Mr. Potts is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous friends and relatives. The resolution conveys the Senate's deepest condolences to the Potts family and directs the Secretary of State to send a certified copy of the resolution to Mrs. Cheryl A. Potts and her family, honoring Mr. Potts' memory and contributions to his community and loved ones.
