A penalty of $300 is imposed on employers who fail to comply with this requirement, and this fine is designated as the exclusive remedy for non-compliance.

Furthermore, the bill stipulates that all fines collected under this section will be deposited into the violent crimes indemnity account within the general fund, which is intended to support awards granted under the criminal injuries compensation act. The act is set to take effect immediately upon passage.
