The bill amends Chapter 2-10 of the General Laws, titled "State Forests and Forestry Projects," by adding a new section that directs the General Assembly to appropriate a sum sufficient in the fiscal year 2026 budget to fund ten additional full-time equivalent (FTE) positions within the Department of Environmental Management. The funding will also cover necessary equipment and supplies for these positions. The intent of this addition is to support and expand the department's efforts in the areas of woodlands, forests, and forestry projects. This act will take effect upon passage.
