Mr. Arico was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, known for his commitment to family and active lifestyle, which included being a stellar pole vaulter and an avid jogger. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and had a distinguished thirty-year career as the Deputy Director of the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, contributing significantly to various local governance bodies, including the Bristol County Water Authority and the Barrington Zoning Board.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Arico played a pivotal role in local politics, notably as the Chairman of the Barrington Democratic Town Committee during a time when the town was predominantly Republican. His efforts were instrumental in changing the political landscape of Barrington. The resolution acknowledges his legacy and contributions to the community, extending heartfelt sympathies to his family, including his wife Joan, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The Secretary of State is directed to send a certified copy of the resolution to the Arico family.

Introduced by Representatives Speakman, Boylan, Shekarchi, Blazejewski, and Knight on January 28, the resolution has been read and passed in the House.
