Mr. Fargnoli, a native of Providence, served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War era, achieving the rank of Sergeant with the 3rd Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard. He dedicated 32 years to the United States Post Office, where he held management positions in his final years, and served as a doorkeeper for the Rhode Island House of Representatives from 1994 to 2016, earning respect and affection from colleagues and the public for his warmth, compassion, and sense of humor.

The resolution highlights Mr. Fargnoli's legacy as a patriot, family man, and public servant, noting his contributions to both his family and the community. He is survived by his wife, three children, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The House has authorized the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to his family, ensuring that his memory and service are honored.
