Additionally, he had a successful coaching career, particularly as the head football coach at North Kingstown High School, where he transformed the football program and led the team to multiple championships.
Beyond his educational and coaching achievements, Mr. Gilmartin was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, enjoying time spent in nature. He is survived by his wife, three children, and several siblings, along with numerous extended family members. The resolution acknowledges the profound loss felt by his family, friends, and the North Kingstown community, highlighting his positive impact on the lives of many and his enduring legacy. The House has authorized the Secretary of State to send certified copies of the resolution to Mr. Gilmartin's family.
