The House has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Louis M. Pulner, Esq., a respected attorney and litigator with a notable career in Rhode Island. Born in Providence to Norma Ryan and Sidney Pulner, he graduated from Classical High School and Providence College, later earning his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Pulner began his legal career as a Special Assistant Attorney General in Rhode Island, where he gained recognition for his work in prosecuting drunk drivers. He served under two Attorney Generals and later established his own law firm, focusing on various legal areas including family law and criminal law.

Louis Pulner was not only a dedicated professional but also a compassionate individual who contributed significantly to pro bono work, earning him numerous accolades from the Rhode Island Bar Association. He served as the Solicitor for the Town of Barrington for 35 years and was a legal analyst on various media outlets. Pulner was an avid sports fan, a family man, and enjoyed leisure activities such as comedy shows and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his mother, children, grandchildren, sister, niece, and extended family. The House has resolved to extend its condolences to Pulner's family and directed the Secretary of State to transmit certified copies of the resolution to his family members.
