The House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Tammy M. Lamberto Roy, who was a devoted wife to Noel Roy, Jr. for fifteen years and a loving mother to Mia, Nick (and his wife, Melissa), and Shayne Roy. Tammy Roy was born in Woonsocket and was the daughter of Paulette and Raymond Lamberto (and his wife, Priscilla), and sister to David (and his wife, Mary Lou), Tina (and her husband, Irwin), and Sheila (and her husband, Steven). She was an alumnus of Woonsocket High School and Rhode Island College, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education.
Tammy Roy dedicated twenty-one years to her career as a special education teacher, working at Leo A. Savoie Elementary and Globe Park Elementary, and also served as a PASS worker for the Seven Hills Foundation until her retirement in 2017. Despite battling cancer intermittently for twenty years, she lived a full life, cherishing her time with her family, including her grandchildren, and enjoying hobbies such as scrapbooking, beach outings, camping, and traveling. The resolution acknowledges her positive impact on those around her and conveys the House's deepest condolences to her family. It also instructs the Secretary of State to deliver a certified copy of the resolution to Noel Roy, Jr. and his family.
