The House has expressed deep condolences on the passing of Paul T. DeRoche, a cherished husband to Dr. Helen Caldwell for thirty years, father to five children, and grandfather to eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born in Woonsocket, Paul was the son of Edward and Catherine DeRoche, and sibling to Dr. Edward DeRoche, Dr. Robert DeRoche, and the late Rosamond Nalewski. He was an alumnus of Mount St. Charles Academy and Providence College.

Paul DeRoche had a distinguished 37-year career with The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, retiring as a Senior Vice President for Government Affairs. Renowned for his amiable and knowledgeable presence at the State House, he was a respected lobbyist for the business community. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, horse racing, and spending time with his family and his Maltese pup, Eliza. The resolution conveys the House's sympathy to his family and directs the Secretary of State to provide them with a certified copy of the resolution.
