The Senate has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Tammy M. Lamberto Roy, who was the beloved wife of Noel Roy, Jr. for fifteen years and the cherished mother of Mia, Nick (and his wife, Melissa), and Shayne Roy. Tammy Roy was born in Woonsocket and was the daughter of Paulette and Raymond Lamberto (and his wife, Priscilla), and sister to David Lamberto (and his wife, Mary Lou), Tina Gelinas (and her husband, Irwin), and Sheila Leahy (and her husband, Steven). She was an alumnus of Woonsocket High School and Rhode Island College, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education.

Tammy Roy dedicated twenty-one years to special education, working at Leo A. Savoie Elementary and Globe Park Elementary, and was also a PASS worker for the Seven Hills Foundation until her retirement in 2017. Despite battling cancer intermittently for twenty years, she lived a full life, focusing on her family, enjoying hobbies like scrapbooking, beach outings, camping, traveling, and singing and dancing. The Senate has resolved to extend its deepest condolences to the Roy family and directed the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to Noel Roy, Jr. and his family.
