The Senate expresses profound sorrow at the passing of Tammy M. Lamberto Roy, who was a devoted wife to Noel Roy, Jr. for fifteen years and a loving mother to Mia, Nick (and his wife, Melissa), and Shayne Roy. Born in Woonsocket, Tammy was the daughter of Paulette and Raymond Lamberto, and sister to David, Tina, and Sheila. She was an alumna of Woonsocket High School and Rhode Island College, where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in education. Tammy Roy dedicated twenty-one years to teaching special education and worked as a PASS worker for the Seven Hills Foundation until her retirement in 2017.

Despite battling cancer intermittently for twenty years, Tammy Roy lived a full life, cherishing moments with her family, including her grandchildren Aidan, Avery, Adrianna, and Quincey. She was known for her warm and welcoming home, her hobbies of scrapbooking, beach outings, camping, and traveling, and her love for singing and dancing. The Senate acknowledges that Tammy's presence significantly impacted those around her and she will be greatly missed. The resolution concludes with the Senate extending its deepest condolences to the Roy family and instructing the Secretary of State to deliver a certified copy of the resolution to Noel Roy, Jr. and his family.
