The Senate expresses its sorrow over the passing of Eileen M. Rao, a lifelong resident of Providence and a cherished member of her community. Eileen, known affectionately as "Mama Lemon," co-founded the successful business Mr. Lemon with her husband in 1974, which became a family-run venture. She is remembered as a devoted wife to the late Joseph Rao, Sr., a loving mother to Janice Valedofsky, Joseph Rao, Jr., and Colleen Rao-Sales, and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother to her many grandchildren.

In honor of her memory, the Senate extends its deepest condolences to Eileen Rao's family and directs the Secretary of State to transmit certified copies of this resolution to her children. Eileen's legacy is celebrated as one of strength, love, and dedication, both to her family and to the business that became a symbol of her commitment and care.
