This resolution honors Mr. Lemon, a beloved frozen lemonade business that has been a staple in Rhode Island's capital for fifty years. The business, which was founded by Eileen Rao (Mama Lemon) and her husband Joseph in 1974, has continued to thrive under the management of their three children after the founders' passing. Mr. Lemon is celebrated for its wide array of flavors, including the unique Tutti Fruiti and the Majority Whip Goodwin, renamed in honor of the late local Senator Maryellen Goodwin.

The Senate of the State of Rhode Island extends its congratulations and gratitude to Mr. Lemon for its half-century of service, providing refreshment and enjoyment to both residents and visitors. The resolution also expresses wishes for the business's ongoing success. The Secretary of State is directed to transmit certified copies of this resolution to Janice Valedofsky, Colleen Rao-Sales, and Joseph Rao, Jr., the children of the founders who are currently running Mr. Lemon.
