The Eleanor Slater Hospital-Zambarano campus in Rhode Island has been providing essential health care services since 1995, catering to patients with severe medical conditions that require extended hospital stays. The facility is recognized for its compassionate care for those with acute breathing problems, severe wounds, infectious diseases, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and geriatric patients who need more medical resources than other post-acute providers can offer. The hospital is also noted for its patient involvement group, "Patients for Progress," which has been advocating for high-quality care since 1979, and the staff's commitment to planning a new state-of-the-art facility.

The State of Rhode Island House of Representatives resolves to recognize "Zambarano Day" on May 19, 2024, to congratulate and appreciate the staff of the Eleanor Slater Hospital-Zambarano campus for their efforts in caring for long-term acute care patients. The resolution also reaffirms the House's support for the hospital's continued service as an exemplary long-term acute care facility for the benefit of all Rhode Islanders. The Secretary of State is directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the hospital staff.
