The Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV) is an organization committed to ending domestic violence in Rhode Island. Established in 1979, it supports agencies that assist domestic violence victims and their families, and leads in policy and systems advocacy. The RICADV, which is a coalition of member agencies, offers services such as emergency shelter, support groups, counseling, and legal assistance to victims. It also works towards a society that does not tolerate domestic violence by promoting awareness, policy change, prevention, survivor activism, and training.

A resolution has been proposed to support the RICADV's mission financially. It involves appropriating $500,000 from the treasury for the fiscal year 2024-2025 to aid the coalition's efforts in supporting survivors and working towards the elimination of domestic violence in Rhode Island. The controller is authorized to release the funds as needed upon receipt of properly authorized vouchers. This resolution is a legislative action to provide substantial financial support to the RICADV's ongoing work against domestic violence.
