The bill amends Section 23-1-45 of the General Laws in Chapter 23-1, which pertains to the Department of Health, by creating a "childhood immunization account" and an "adult immunization account" within the general fund. These accounts are designated for the department of health to use in implementing the childhood and adult immunization programs, respectively. The bill specifies that for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025, up to $850,000 from each account may be used to support the existing PediPRN and MomsPRN information lines, as well as any additional information lines, referral services, or hotlines available to providers or residents in the state. These services must be funded according to regulations adopted by the director of the department of health.

Additionally, the bill requires the department of health to submit a report to the speaker of the house and the senate president by March 1, 2025, detailing the use of these funds and providing recommendations for support beyond FY 2025. The bill also mentions the creation of a "pandemic medications and equipment account" for funding related to pandemic medications and equipment, with an expenditure not to exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000) for FY 2007. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2024.
