Armand E. Sabitoni, who served as the General Secretary-Treasurer of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) and the New England Regional Manager, retired in April 2023 after nearly 22 years of service. Sabitoni, a second-generation laborer, began his career in construction and advanced through the ranks of LIUNA, leveraging his law degree and work experience to lead the union's over 500,000 members. He is recognized for his leadership, advocacy for workers' rights, and contributions to the union's growth, safety, and asset increase.

Sabitoni's leadership extended to various initiatives, including strengthening training programs, instituting apprenticeship positions, and establishing a construction charter school for high school students. His commitment to democracy and the union's values has been influential in Rhode Island and across the country. He will continue to serve as the New England Regional Manager. The House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island honors Sabitoni for his dedication and wishes him well in future endeavors, directing the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to him.
