This bill amends Section 22-3-12 of the General Laws to require the secretary of state to maintain an up-to-date online directory of government officials for public use. The bill also requires the secretary of state to provide a printed government directory for distribution and historical preservation purposes. The bill eliminates the requirement for the secretary of state to prepare a legislative manual and distribute printed copies to members of the general assembly. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2024.
