The House has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Janice DiPrete, who was the wife of the late Honorable James DiPrete, Jr., and mother to Jacqueline Ann Zannini, Kenneth James DiPrete, the late Patricia "Tish" DiPrete Handy, and Ronald James DiPrete. She was also considered a "third son" to Bruce Lane. Janice was a lifelong resident of Cranston, a daughter to Ruth Ellen and Caesar Thomas Cambio, and was known for her strong faith, sense of style, and appreciation for life. She was a central figure in her family, providing a nurturing home, offering wise counsel, and taking great joy in her grandchildren, Alexander James Handy and Mia James DiPrete.

The resolution acknowledges Janice DiPrete as a person of grace, dignity, elegance, and humor, whose presence will be greatly missed by her family and a wide circle of friends. The House extends its deepest condolences to her family and friends, and directs the Secretary of State to send certified copies of the resolution to the families of Jacqueline Ann Zannini, Kenneth James DiPrete, Representative Arthur Handy, Ronald James DiPrete, and Bruce Lane as a formal expression of sympathy and recognition of Janice DiPrete's life and impact.
