Across Pennsylvania, Marines have served our country at home and abroad. The United States Marine Corps traces its origins to Philadelphia, where it was established on November 10, 1775. Its official colors, scarlet and gold, have long represented the traditions and identities of the Marine Corps.
We plan to introduce a resolution recognizing November 10, 2026, as the “Marine Corps Birthday” in Pennsylvania.
For more than two centuries, Marines have played an important role in our nation’s defense and military history. This resolution honors the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the United States Marine Corps.
Please join us in co-sponsoring this resolution recognizing November 10, 2026, as the “Marine Corps Birthday” in Pennsylvania. This measure will honor 251 years of Marine Corps service and recognize the dedication of Marines across the Commonwealth.
