Since 1967, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation has helped lead landmark initiatives protecting and preserving the Chesapeake Bay and its wetlands. This year marks the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s 40th anniversary operating in Pennsylvania, with their first office in the Commonwealth opening in 1986. Through science-based public policy, environmental education, and conservation projects, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation has helped enhance the long-term health and sustainability of Pennsylvania’s watershed.

To celebrate 40 years of commitment to ensuring healthy streams, rivers, forests, and air in Pennsylvania, I am introducing a resolution designating November 10, 2026, as “Chesapeake Bay Foundation Day” in Pennsylvania. I ask that you join me in recognizing the hard work of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation on its 40th anniversary here in Pennsylvania by co-sponsoring this resolution.
