In the near future, I will be introducing companion legislation to SB1348 that improves the speed at which school construction/maintenance/repair projects can be completed, as well as improve the speed at which school equipment and supplies can be acquired.

My legislation achieves these laudable outcomes by making necessary updates to antiquated dollar thresholds for work which requires contract bidding. These statutory amounts haven’t been touched since 2012.

My legislation allows schools to work quickly to address school building issues and equip schools with needed supplies and will make our schools better suited for the academic success of our students.
