Community health centers are key to health care access across Pennsylvania. In many of our communities, these health centers take the lead in providing primary care to underserved patients. These centers began more than 60 years ago and have grown to serve millions of patients nationwide.

In Pennsylvania, one in twelve people receives care from a community health center, and in rural areas community health centers serve approximately one in three people.

To celebrate the extraordinary work that community health centers do in serving our neighbors, we plan to introduce a resolution recognizing National Health Center Week in Pennsylvania from August 2-8, 2026.

This national awareness week offers us an opportunity to connect with the more than 400 community health centers in almost every county in Pennsylvania to learn more about the care that they provide in our communities.

Join me in supporting the dedicated, hardworking health care professionals in our community health centers by co-sponsoring this resolution.
