The aviation industry in Pennsylvania supports economic development, creates jobs, supports emergency services and connects communities. However, the funding structure for this vital industry has not been updated in several decades, allowing Pennsylvania to fall behind neighboring states. Airports are vital links to commerce and Pennsylvania needs to re-invest in the aviation industry to keep this industry strong.

For this reason, I will soon introduce the Pennsylvania AIR Act (Aviation and Investment Reform) to ensure equitable funding for aviation infrastructure. This will benefit communities across the Commonwealth, from the large commercial airports in cities to the smaller airports in rural areas and everything in between.

Please join me in supporting this bipartisan effort to provide long-term, comprehensive funding strategies for Pennsylvania’s aviation industry. Aviation is a key party of the Commonwealth’s transportation network and we must work to keep it competitive for current and future generations.
