In the near future, we will be introducing a resolution designating the week of June 8th through the 14th 2026, as “Union Organizing Week” in the Commonwealth. This designation honors the efforts and contributions of Pennsylvania workers who have fought for their right to organize and for protections and benefits through their unions.

In our time working with or for unions, we witnessed firsthand the impact these groups have on pressing concerns involving health care, equitable pay, and fair treatment. Union organizing remains a cornerstone of Pennsylvania’s labor rights and politics, providing folks with a collective voice to advocate for dignity and justice in the workplace.

This resolution also recognizes the efforts of workers across the nation, including those who have drawn attention to the actions of corporations such as Amazon, Starbucks, Google, and Apple. By designating this week, we aim to celebrate the pivotal role unions play in protecting worker rights and fostering a fair and equitable labor market.

We invite you to join us in co-sponsoring this resolution to demonstrate our ongoing support for Pennsylvania workers and union organizing efforts.
